Fall Time Cozy Time Book Tag

Autumn is here in full swing (and has been for a while) and it’s time to get cozy under the blankets with a (bunch of) good books! This is a fun tag created by Sam over at Sam’s Nonsense on Youtube. Her video is here! But without further ado, let’s get into it.

Crunching Leaves: The world is full of color - choose a book that had reds/oranges/yellows on the cover

Saw this on my shelves and thought it was perfect. “Mockingjay” by Suzanne Collins, the last book of the “Hunger Games” trilogy. I think we all know what this book is about by now, so I won’t say anything more about it.

Cozy Sweater - It's finally cold enough to don warm cozy clothing: what book gives you the warm fuzzies?

Aside from “Harry Potter” I would say “Pride and Prejudice” by Jane Austen. It’s a classic love story, and one of favorite reads. I’ve read it many times, but I always enjoy a reread.

Fall Storm: The wind is howling & the rain is pounding - choose your favorite book OR genre that you like to read on a stormy day

I’ve never really thought about this. I just read whatever book I happen to be reading whatever the weather. But I guess there is something cozy about reading epic fantasy in the middle of a storm. The characters are off on a dangerous journey, while you are safe and warm under your blankets.

Cool Crisp Air: What's the coolest character you'd want to trade places with?

Maybe Blue from “The Raven Cycle” by Maggie Stiefvater. She lives in a house of psychics and witches and just seems to be completely cool and resting in herself, and she doesn’t become an empty husk of herself when she starts dating someone, like so many girls do in YA these days.

Hot Apple Cider: What under hyped book do you want to see become the next biggest, hottest thing?

“Easy” by Tammara Webber. It is set in college and deals with a young woman who experiences attempted sexual assault and how she deals with it. There is also some steamy (consensual) romance and the love interest is actually a great guy.
Coat, Scarves, and Mittens - The weather has turned cold & it's time to cover up - What's the most embarrassing book cover you own that you like to keep hidden in public?

I have to go with “Easy” again. I don’t know if the cover puts people off, but it’s certainly not the greatest….ugh! I hate pictures of actual people on book covers.

Pumpkin Spice: What's your favorite Fall time comforts food/foods?

Maybe cookies…although I do enjoy those all year round. Or mashed potatoes. A bellyful of soft, silky mash will keep you warm on those cold fall nights.

Warm, Cozy Bonfire: Spread the cozy warmth - Who do you tag?

Everyone!
