#T5W: Characters You Are Most Like

This topic is going to be a bit hard, because the prompt clearly states that it is characters you are most like, not who you would LIKE to be like. It does allow you to pick individual character traits, though, so I guess that’s my loophole ;)  In no particular order, I would say I am most like:  Hermione Granger from the Harry Potter series. I can definitely recognize myself in her work ethics, her crazy studying and always being on time with her homework. I was such a little goodie two-shoes in school, but I don’t think there is anything wrong with that. I had quite a stress free school life, because I was always on time with assignments, and when occasionally I would completely space out and forget something, the teachers would cut me some slack because of my stellar record. Life tips for you right there! Lyra from His Dark Materials by Philip Pullman. As a kid I would make up stories constantly, like Lyra does. I even did writing with two of my friends, drea...

#T5W: Top 5 Books You DNF’ed

I’ve been seeing videos on Top 5 Wednesday forever on Youtube, and I thought I would finally give it a go. This was created by Gingerreadslainey on Youtube, and there is a Goodreads group where you can keep updated on upcoming topics.  The topic for today is books you DNF’ed, i.e. books you didn’t finish. I’ve only recently started not finishing books, because of various reasons explained here , but I have managed to DNF a few books and here is my top 5. 5 - The Little Friend by Donna Tartt I tried to read this one because of all the good things I heard about Donna Tartt’s writing. And while I did enjoy the writing style, the pace was glacially slow. I read just under half of the book (283 pages to be exact) and nothing had really happened. I had learnt nothing that wasn’t in the blurb, and I lost my patience and gave it up.  4 - Tipping the Velvet by Sarah Waters This was a TBR jar pick and when I first started reading it, I really enjoyed...

Blogmas Day 24 - Holiday Bucket List

I always feel like there are some traditions that make up Christmas. If you miss them, it just doesn't feel like Christmas at all. Here are some of the ones that have made it to my Christmas list:  1 - Eating the snowball chocolates that only come out for Christmas 2 - Having a real live Christmas tree with tons of decoration 3 - Seeing all the lights strung up all over the city 4 - Catching a glimpse of Santa 5 - Wrapping presents 6 - Watching "Home Alone" 7 - Watching the Disney special on TV on Christmas Eve 8 - Lighting festive candles around the house 9 - Baking Christmas cookies 10 - Having an advent calendar I feel like I have managed most of them this year, although the tree will have to wait until I get somewhere more spacious to live. What's on your bucket list?

35 Days of Organization

I have  always  been a pretty  organized  person, if I do say so myself. Lately I have been slacking, though, and I want to get  back  on track. I love lists, so when I came across this one (  http://officiallydifferent.blogspot.dk/2011/10/40-days-of-organization.html  ) on Pinterest I decided to sit down and make my own similar list. I took inspiration from the list shown, but I made it fit my own needs. For example I don't have a guest room, so I switched out all those chores for some that would fit me, like my book crates. Making a list like this makes the task of cleaning/organizing your entire house seem very doable, as each of these tasks  should't take much more than an hour or so.  And you get to cross things of a list, which always makes me feel very productive!  1 - bathroom cabinet 2 - wardrobe (clothes) 3 - wardrobe (linen and towels) 4 - wardrobe (clothes for work) 5 - white chest of drawers in bedroom 6 -...
