I was looking for a fun tag to do, and this one seemed like a quick little thing, so I decided to do it. I know the rapid fire element sort of fails when you write your answers out and have time to think about them, but I promise I will do them as quickly and intuitively as possible.   The tag was created by GirlReading and you can see her video here :) Let’s get started! E-Book or Physical Book?  I love physical books! I just can’t get into digital books in any way, shape or form Paperback or Hardback? I don’t really have a preference, except that I HATE those tiny hardbacks where your arms get a workout just from trying to keep the book cracked all the way open. You know the ones! I saw this on Youtube on the channel Bookables and thought it sounded like a fun idea. Spring is still making up its mind where I live (it snowed a few days ago!), so I hope I can entice it to come out and play with this tag! 1. The struggle of getting started: a book/book series that you have struggled to begin because of its size. I am not often daunted by the size of books as I don’t mind starting long books, because I have the hope that they will be so good I won’t notice the length. I often struggle to finish long books though, because eventually I will feel like I have been reading the same book/story forever. This is also the reason I very rarely marathon series. I just get bored of the universe/story after hundreds of pages, even if I am enjoying it. This is the struggle I am currently having with “Mistborn” by Brandon Sanderson. Autumn is here in full swing (and has been for a while) and it’s time to get cozy under the blankets with a (bunch of) good books! This is a fun tag created by Sam over at Sam’s Nonsense on Youtube. I found this tag browsing on Tumblr a while ago, and while many seem to have done it, I can’t seem to find the original. But kudos to whoever made it because who doesn’t love books and chocolate? Dark Chocolate: (A book that covers a dark topic ([abuse, domestic violence, rape, loneliness, bullying, death, etc]) Easy by Tammara Webber. This book deals with attempted rape at college and how people are discouraged from reporting it by the authorities who ought to help them. If you are interested in the topic you can also watch the documentary “The Hunting Ground”. It should still be on Netflix.  White Chocolate: (Your favorite lighthearted/humorous read) The Lost Art of Keeping Secrets by Eva Rice. This book still deals with some heavy topics but there is just this feeling about it that I really enjoy. Aside from my reread of Harry Potter (which doesn’t count as that wouldn’t be fair to other books!) I guess this has to be “ The Day of the Triffids ” by John Wyndham. I was pleasantly surprised when I read this, as I was reaching a point where I felt like nothing I read really interested me that much. I’ve seen a number of people on Booktube doing the tag, and it seemed like fun, so here are my answers:  What book is on your nightstand now? Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince. I’ve slowly been re-reading the entire Harry Potter series this year.  What was the last truly great book you’ve read?  This probably has to be Winter, the last book of the Lunar Chronicles by Marissa Meyer. It was just such a blast, and a great ending to a great series. The plot twisted and turned every which way and kept you guessing right until the end.  If you could meet any writer - dead or alive - who would it be? And what wold you want to know? Maybe J.K.
