2015 Mid-Year Favorites

One of the types of video I really like watching on Youtube is monthly favorites. Now I discover new favorites every once in a while, but I don’t think I have enough to do a post on it every month. So I decided to do one every 6 months instead. So here we go, my favorite things for the past 6 months:

Music:

Babymetal - A Japanese pop-metal band. My favourite songs are Gimme chocolate and Iine
Ed Sheeran - Thinking Out Loud. Who doesn’t love that song?!
Hozier - Take Me to Church
Journey - Don’t Stop Believin’. This is just such a positive song :)
Fall Out Boy - Centuries, My Songs Know What You Did in the Dark
Jesse J, Ariana Grande and Nicki Minaj - Bang Bang
Bob Dylan - If You See Her, Say Hello
Mika and Ariana Grande - Popular Song
Sia - Soon We’ll Be Found
Ella Henderson - Ghost
Ariana Grande - Break Free
Wolfmother - New Moon Rising

Books:

Code Name Verity by Elizabeth Wein
Rose Under Fire by Elizabeth Wein
We Were Liars by e. lockhart
Dreams of Gods and Monsters by Laini Taylor (the third book in the Daughter of Smoke and Bone trilogy)
Love Poems by Pablo Neruda

Random:

The Body Shop Ginger Shampoo. I really don’t like ginger, but this shampoo didn’t smell too bad of it, and it really soothed my scalp, which can be quite itchy sometimes.

The Body Shop Peppermint foot creme. This really helps soften my feet.

Rimmel Stay Matte powder. I don’t really use a ton of makeup, because I don’t like how it feels on my face. But this powder isn’t too heavy and it helps conceal just the worse redness etc.

My new Ravenclaw planner, that I got from Etsy. The shop is called Ruskerville, and they have planners for all the houses, and for Hogwarts in general, if you haven’t been sorted ;)

I think those were all my favorites so far this year. They are not necessarily things that have been released this year. I just discovered them this year, or I have continued to love them throughout the year, regardless of having discovered them a long time ago.
